Industrial touch screen displays are displays with touch functions used in industry. How to solve the problem when the touch is not sensitive? Industrial display manufacturers first understand the reasons why industrial touch screen displays are not working, and then think of countermeasures.
1、Resistive touch screen fault phenomenon analysis and treatment methods
Fault 1: The mouse and arrow do not overlap
Phenomenon: The position touched by the finger does not coincide with the mouse arrow.
Analysis: After installing the driver, the center of the bullseye was not touched vertically when correcting the position. The signal line on the touch screen has poor contact or open circuit.
Solution: Recalibrate the position; find the breakpoint and reconnect or replace the touch screen.
Fault 2: Touch screen accuracy and deviation
Phenomenon: When not touching, the mouse arrow always stays at a certain position. When touching, the mouse arrow is at the midpoint between the touch point and the original stay point.
Analysis: There is a foreign object (non-active touch) compressing the effective working area of the resistive touch screen.
Treatment method: Remove foreign objects that are pressing on the effective working area of the resistive touch screen.
Fault 3: No response to touch
Phenomenon: When touching the screen, the mouse arrow does not move and does not change its position.
Analysis: There are many reasons for this phenomenon, which are explained one by one below:
(1) The touch screen fails
(2) The touch screen control card fails.
(3) The touch screen signal line is faulty.
(4) The serial port of the computer host fails.
(5) The computer’s operating system fails.
(6) The touch screen driver is installed incorrectly.
The resistive screen touch mouse only moves in a small area or the resistive touch screen is inaccurate.
This situation usually occurs when you install the driver for the first time. Please run the touch screen calibration program. The touch screen calibration program (Start – Programs) must also be run after changing the monitor resolution
This happens because the mouse is always at a certain point on the four sides of the monitor because the touch area of the resistive screen (the surface of the resistive screen is divided into two parts, the touch area and the non-touch area. There is no reaction when clicking on the non-touch area) is blocked by the monitor shell or cabinet shell. Pressing down is equivalent to a certain point being touched all the time. If the cabinet casing presses the touch area, you can increase the distance between the cabinet and the monitor screen. If the monitor casing presses the touch area, you can try to loosen the screws of the monitor casing a little.
If it still doesn’t work, please contact the industrial touch screen display manufacturer.
