Industrial touch screen displays are displays with touch functions used in industry. How to solve the problem when the touch is not sensitive? First, let’s first understand the reasons for the failure of the touch screen, and then think about countermeasures.
1. Analysis and treatment methods for the failure phenomenon of resistive/capacitive touch screen
Fault 1: The touch position does not show the mouse arrow or cursor.
Phenomenon: The position touched by the finger does not overlap with the mouse arrow.
Analysis: After installing the driver, there is no vertical touch on the center of the bullseye when correcting the position. The signal line on the touch screen is in poor contact or open circuit.
Solution: recorrect the position; find the breakpoint and reconnect or replace the touch screen.
Fault 2: Accuracy and deviation of the touch screen
Phenomenon: When no touching, the mouse arrow always stays at a certain position. When touching, the mouse arrow stays at the midpoint between the touch point and the original stay point.
Analysis: A foreign body (non-active touch) is pressing the effective working area of the resistive touch screen.
Treatment method: remove the foreign objects that are pressing on the effective working area of the resistive touch screen.
Fault 3: No response to touch
Phenomenon: When touching the screen, there is no movement of the mouse arrow and no position change occurs.
Analysis: There are many reasons for this phenomenon. The following explains one by one:
- The touch screen fails
- The touch screen control card is malfunctioning.
- The touch screen signal line is faulty.
- The serial port of the host computer is malfunctioning.
- The computer’s operating system is malfunctioning.
- The touch screen driver is installed incorrectly.
2. Common faults and troubleshooting of resistive/capacitive screens
- The resistive screen touch mouse only moves in a small area or the resistive touch screen is inaccurate.
Generally, this will happen when the driver is installed for the first time. Please run the touchscreen calibration program. After changing the monitor resolution, you must also run the touch screen calibration program (start-program)
- The mouse always appears at a certain point on the four sides of the display because the touch area of the resistive screen (the surface of the resistive screen is divided into two parts, the touch area and the non-touch area, there is no response when clicking on the non-touch area) by the display shell or cabinet shell Suppressed, which is equivalent to a certain point being touched all the time. If the cabinet shell is pressing the touch area, you can increase the distance between the cabinet and the monitor screen. If the monitor shell is pressing the touch area, you can try to loosen the screws of the monitor shell a bit. If it still doesn’t work, please contact the manufacturer.
